RIDER'S TESMINONIAL

Joaquin Brandi, Rider from New Mexico to LadakhIn November, 2011, while on a trip with my father, John Brandi, to one of his favorite parts of the world - Nepal, a magical encounter took place. I had been telling him of a dream I had about riding Royal Enfield through India, and all of a sudden, on a Himalayan trail in Nepal, we met Sherap walking with his mother to their newly-constructed house in the Langtang region. After this auspicious meeting with a fellow Enfield enthusiast, my father and I both knew that I needed to return to have Sherap help me fulfill my dream of riding over the highest mountain passes in the world.

In May, 2012, my mom passed away, and following her wishes of seeing "big Buddha," and with my father's encouragement, I departed in June to meet Sherap in Delhi. This trip would not have been possible without the encouragement of people like my father, my sister, my wife and children, and the many friends present at my big 40th birthday bash. I'd especially like to thank Ed Kissam and Jo Ann Intili, and my mother-in-law, Joan Williams for their financial support.
