A fully guided bike tour to the most stunning valleys of Lower Mustang. A region well known for it’s unique landscape, spectacular mountain views and well preserved Thakali tradition and culture. Mountain views include Dhaulagiri 8,160m, Nilgiri 7,061m, Fishtail 6,993m, and many other lesser known peaks.

We ride from Kathmandu with overnight stops in beautiful places like Pokhara’s, spectacular Kalopani village, Marpha, Jomsom and Muktinath which is final destination at an altitude of 3,800m

This short movie was filmed in 2010. The road condition was much worse back then. Now the road has been widened and the riding condition is much better with part of the road below Muktinath with blacktop.


DAY 1: Arrive in Kathmandu. Meet, greet and transfer to our hotel.

Our representative will receive you at the airport. Transfer you to our hotel in Thamel. Rooms and Breakfast only. Bikes will be at the hotel the same evening.

DAY 2: Kathmandu to Pokhara's Lakeside. 200km.

100% blacktopped road. Expect heavy traffic for first 25km. Crazy yet beautiful highway. Nepali set lunch at Jomsom Thakali Restaurant 100KM from Kathmandu. Arrive in Pokhara around early afternoon, check into Hotel Barahi. Swimming pool. Go for an evening walk around the lake or chill out at one the finest bars. Ala Carte dinner in one of the finest restaurants in the lakeside.

DAY 3: Pokhara to Kalopani via Beni and Tatopani. 150km.

Leave Pokhara by 8:30am. First 80km till Beni blacktopped. Rest dirt road. Fuel topup at Beni. Stop for lunch at Tatopani 21km further from Beni where food is freshly prepared. Highlights are Rupse waterfalls, World's deepest gorge, Beautiful Kalopani village, First view of Nilgiri south, etc. Continue ride till Kalopani. Check into Kalopani Guest House and Coffee shop. Beautiful sunny garden, views of Mt. Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, free wifi, makes this place worth staying. Ala Carte dinner at the Hotel's spacious restaurant and lounge bar.

DAY 4: Kalopani to Muktinath via Marpha and Jomsom. 50km. Altitude gain: 3800m.

Leave Kalopani Guest House by 8:30am. We enter Mustang valley after a few kilometers. The landscape changes dramatically. Wide open river bed, treeless mountains and the snowy peaks dominate the landscape after Kobang. Ride thru Marpha, a beautiful and well preserved cultural village popularly known as apple capital of Mustang. Continue ride to Jomsom. Get our permits entered at the checkpoint. Enjoy coffee with Nilgiri mountain views at Ohms Home. Continue ride to Kagbeni where we still stop for lunch at Yak Donald Restaurant before we climb up to Muktinath. Last 12km from Kagbeni to Muktinath is blacktopped and makes it easy riding condition. We check into Eureka Inn.

DAY 5: Muktinath Temple visit. Afternoon ride down to Tatopani. 75km.

Early morning walk to the Muktinath Temple popularly known as the temple of salvation. 25-30 minutes walk. Hindu and Buddhist pilgrims from all over the world visit this temple to take bath in the 108 water spouts surrounding the temple. They believe doing this will cleanse their sins of a lifetime. The views of the mountains and the villages are spectacular. A newly built big Budha statue is worth checking. A few minutes walk further down is a nunnery that houses a tiny flame that has been burning since time immemorial. Return to the hotel. Enjoy breakfast and head down to Tatopani 75km. Lunch stop at Kalopani Guest House. Evening, enjoy the hotspring bath at Tatopani. We check into Hotel Annapurna overlooking the raging Kali Gandaki river and Mt. Nilgiri south at Tatopani. Attached bathroom. Free wifi. Food is freshly cooked and delicious. Before dinner we will walk to the nearby hotspring pool to enjoy soaking our tired muscles. Ala Carte dinner.

DAY 6: Tatopani to Pokhara's Lakeside. 98km.

Leave Tatopani around 8:30am. Ride back to Pokhara via Beni. Arrive in the early afternoon. Check into Hotel Barahi. Go for lunch at a nearby restaurant. Rest of the afternoon free to explore the lakeside or enjoy a well deserved massage. Ala Carte dinner at one of the finest restaurants.

DAY 7: Pokhara to Kathmandu. 200km.

After breakfast, approximately around 9:00am we will start our ride back to Kathmandu. Lunch stop at Mugling. Coffee stop at 56 Espresso at Adhamghat. Return to Kathmandu, check into our hotel in Thamel. Evening celebration dinner.

Those who want to enjoy some extra adventure activities Pokhara has Paragliding, Bungy jump, Zipline, etc. Everest Mountain Flight in Kathmandu is highly recommended.

DAY 8: Fly back home or explore more on your own.

Transfer to airport and fly back home. Or explore more on your own.

INCLUDES: 500CC Royal Enfield bike or 411CC Himalayan with fuel for the entire trip. Tour guide, mechanic, spare parts and support vehicle. Airport pickup and drop. ACAP Permits and TIMS. OUR BIKES: We have 500CC Royal Enfield Classic or 411CC Himalayan with left gear shift & electric start. Bikes are only third party insured.

NOTE: No need of international driving license as long as you have a valid driving license from your own country. Riders must bring proper riding gears. Nepal visa can be obtained upon arrival at the airport. Please carry 4 PP size photographs with you and photocopies of your passport.
