TRIP HIGHLIGHTS

Upper Mustang or popularly known as the Kingdom of Lo is a remote, rugged and restricted region north of Annapurna mountains. In 1992 the area was finally opened to a limited number of foreign visitors per year. Today Upper Mustang is one of the most sought after trekking and adventure destinations in Nepal highlighting more than 1000 year old monasteries, ancient war caves, nomadic tribes, moon-like arid but scenic landscapes covered by snowy peaks.

Located in the north of Annapurna bordered with Tibet-Autonomous region of China, the area is geographically in Tibetan plateau but is a part of Nepal. With the opening of a dirt road all the way to the border over Karola Pass, Upper Mustang is now proving to be a paradise for adventure motorbikers.
